Do I bring the car to you, or do you come to me?

Most work now happens at our St. Charles shop. Controlled lighting, climate and power make a real difference on correction, coatings, film and tint, so that is where those jobs belong. We still travel for fleets, boats, semis, aircraft and anything that cannot easily be moved.

What do you need from me on drop-off day?

Accepted Answer

The keys and a few minutes to walk the vehicle with us. Clear out anything valuable and anything you do not want moved. Most single-day jobs go in first thing and come back the same evening; we tell you which day is yours when we book it.

Why do prices start at a plus sign?

Accepted Answer

A two-seat coupe and a three-row SUV that hauls a golden retriever are not the same job. Listed prices are the starting point for a clean, average-size vehicle. Send a few photos and you get a firm number before we book.

Question 4

What is the difference between a ceramic sealant and a ceramic coating?

Accepted Answer

The sealant included with a decontamination wash protects for roughly eight months. A true ceramic coating is a thicker, semi-permanent layer that lasts up to five years, resists swirling and can only be removed by polishing.

Can you get the swirls out of my black paint?

Usually, yes. Light swirls come out in a single-stage paint enhancement. Deeper defects need multi-stage correction, which is quoted after we inspect the paint under proper light.

Do you handle winter salt?

Salt removal is part of every full detail: carpets, mats, door jambs and rocker panels. Late winter is the busiest stretch of the year here, so book ahead.

What does the paint protection film actually cover?

Accepted Answer

The $1,500 to $2,500 range is front paint protection film specifically: bumper, the leading edge of the hood, fenders and mirrors, which is where the rock chips land. Going further than that, whether it is the full hood, the full front or the whole vehicle, is a separate job priced by quote, because the panel count and the body lines decide both the film and the labour.

How much is window tint, and will it be legal?

Tint runs $100 to $500 depending on how many windows you want and whether you go carbon or ceramic. We fit shades that keep you inside the Illinois limit for your vehicle type, and we will tell you what that limit is before any film is cut.

How do I pay, and how far ahead should I book?

We confirm the quote by phone or text and settle up when the work is finished. Weekends and the spring thaw fill first, so a week or two of notice is ideal.
